Greek utility plans Greece's largest biomass CHP

Greek state-controlled utility Public Power Corporation (PPC) has opened a tender under its wholly-owned subsidiary PPC Renewables (PPCR), seeking a strategic partner to help build and operate a biomass combined heat and power (CHP) plant project in Amyntaio, northern Greece. The CHP plant will have a nominal capacity of 25MW for power and 45MW for heating, the largest biomass CHP plant in Greece. The electricity produced will supply the grid and the heat output will supply existing district heating networks in the local municipality.
