Thai biomass fuel supplier Asia Biomass (ABM) is aiming to build a wood pellet plant in Thailand and expand storage sites for palm kernel shells (PKS) and biomass pellets in southeast Asia. The firm has filed for an initial public offering (IPO) and plans to invest funds raised in new PKS stockyards across Indonesia and Malaysia, a wood pellet plant project in Thailand and a wood processing factory in Thailand. ABM aims to meet growing demand for biomass in Thailand and elsewhere in Asia, especially Japan, it said. The company is primarily engaged in the purchase and distribution of biomass fuels including wood pellets, PKS and wood chips. It has also exported to the South Korean market.
