The UK’s non-domestic renewable heat incentive (RHI) subsidy scheme received a record high number of applications for medium biomass boilers in January- September 2017, while small biomass boiler applications fell to a record low. The RHI scheme received 1,344 applications for mediumsized biomass boilers with 200-1,000kW of capacity in January-September 2017, the highest number received in the first three quarters of a year to date.
