Drax’s LaSalle wood pellet plant starts production

Production began this week at UK utility Drax’s 450,000 t/yr LaSalle BioEnergy wood pellet plant in Louisiana, US, the company said. Drax previously planned to begin commissioning the facility in the first quarter of 2018. The firm has repaired and upgraded the facility after purchasing the assets of US pellet producer Louisiana Pellets, which owned the LaSalle plant, in April, it said.
