Japan’s PKS imports rise year on year in October

Japan’s palm kernel shell (PKS) imports rose from a year earlier in October, but fell back from September’s record high. October imports were 74,523t, with 69pc originating from Indonesia and the remaining 31pc from Malaysia. Imports were up by 5.5pc from 70,624t in October 2016 but down by 50pc from 148,978t in September.
