Poland's leading biomass power plant operator Enea generated just over 400GWh of power with biomass in the third quarter, down by 23pc year on year. Generation at the firm’s dedicated 225MW biomass unit at the 1.9GW Polaniec plant, which Enea acquired earlier this year from French utility Engie almost tripled from a year earlier to 297GWh. But this was more than offset by a 70pc drop in cofiring at the coal units at the Polaniec plant. And no biomass was co-fired at Enea’s 2.9GW Kozienice plant in the third quarter.
