FGV eyes bigger slice of Japan's PKS market

Malaysian agricultural group Felda Global Ventures Holdings (FGV) is increasing palm kernel shell (PKS) production to target the growing Japanese market. The group expects to produce 100,000t of PKS this year, up from 63,237t in 2016, it said on 29 September. FGV's palm oil mill currently produces up to 12,000t/month of PKS and there are plans to expand this further.
