Drax adds January outage at biomass unit 2

UK utility Drax has added a week-long January 2020 outage at its 645MW wood pellet-fred unit 2 at its power plant in Selby, North Yorkshire. The unit will be shut down on 1-8 January 2020, Remit data show. It takes Drax’s total frst-quarter outages to 16 days and its frst-half shutdowns to 28 days. The bulk of the utility’s planned outages next year are in the third quarter, when shutdowns are scheduled to last for 156 days.
