Brazil posts record 1H pellet exports

Brazilian wood pellet exports hit a record high in the frst half of 2020, amid a rise in shipments to the UK, which ofset a dip in Italian deliveries. Brazil exported 147,000t of wood pellets in January- June, up by 81.5pc on the 81,000t exported in the frst half of 2019. Wood pellet exports in June were up by 15.4pc on the year to 15,000t. But second-quarter exports fell by 14.3pc on the year to 30,000t, with no shipments to the UK.
