Cez lifts biomass generation in 2019

Czech utility Cez increased its biomass-fred electricity generation by 30pc on the year in 2019, even though its overall generation rose by just 2pc from 2018 levels. Cez generated nearly 1.03TWh from biomass last year — about 1.6pc of its total output — which is dominated by nuclear and lignite plants.
