The Argus cif northwest Europe (NWE) index for wood pellets delivered in the next 90 days fell by $1.96/t in the week to Wednesday to close at $171.48/t, pressured by spot ofers and weak demand. A new ofer for a handysize cargo of wood pellets was heard in the week in the mid-$160s/t cif for immediate delivery to NWE, with the vessel already on the water, a trader said.
