India’s NTPC issues tender to buy biomass pellets

Indian state-controlled utility NTPC is seeking 5mn t of biomass pellets for co-fring at its thermal power plants through a tender closing on 19 October. NTPC intends to purchase locally manufactured residue-based pellets, made of stubble and husk, to partially replace coal.
