Austrian premium wood pellet prices fall

Premium wood pellet prices in Austria have fallen on the month in April,as stocks remain plentiful and demand declines in line with the end of the heating season.Prices of bulk 6t deliveries of EN plus A1 pellets fell by 7.3pc on the month and 2pc on the year to €232.10/t,data from industry association ProPellets Austria show.Stocks of premium wood pellets remain high at the end of the heating season,after a warmer-than-average winter 2018-19 dampened residential heat demand.In Vienna,temperatures rose to an average of 11.89°C in the first three weeks of April,largely in line with the 10-year seasonal average but 2.22°C warmer on the month.
