Swiss pellet prices continue recovery in February

Switzerland’s premium retail wood pellet price rose for the ninth consecutive month in February, despite a decline in heating demand on the month. The average price of premium-grade wood pellets rose by 0.9pc to 368.52 Swiss francs/t ($390.51/t) in February, from SFr365.42/t in January. Prices continued to hold below levels recorded in winter 2018-19. The average price for premium grade wood pellets was SFr371.05/t in February 2019, the highest level of that year.
