Wood pellet handling at UK ports marginally increased on the year in October, despite an increase in outages at UK utility Drax’s four 645MW biomass units at its Selby power plant. The UK ports of Immingham, Tyne and Liverpool handled a combined 600,000t of wood pellets in October, an increase of 0.2pc on the year and of 33.3pc on the month.
