Indonesia raises PKs export tax by $3/t for December

The Indonesian government has increased the export tax on palm kernel shells (PKS) by $3/t to $13/t for December, after the ministry of fnance raised the December crude palm oil (CPO) benchmark price to above $850/t. The hike in the export tax takes the total export tax package for Indonesian PKS from $25/t to $28/t, the highest since Argus began assessing Indonesian PKS spot prices in May 2017. The export levy — which PKS exporters must pay to the national CPO fund — was left unchanged at $15/t for December. Indonesia's PKS total export tax package has changed seven times this year so far.
