Enviva breaks ground at Pascagoula port terminal

US wood pellet producer Enviva this week started preparation at the site of a wood pellet export terminal at the port of Pascagoula, Mississippi. Construction of the terminal will start in the next few weeks and is expected to take 15 months. It will have throughput capacity of 3mn t/yr when complete, with storage capacity for 90,000t of pellets. Output from Pascagoula will go to both Enviva’s European and Asian customers, the company said.
