Pemex asphalt output rises for second month

Mexico state-owned Pemex boosted its asphalt production in December for the second consecutive month, although refn- ery output still trailed 2018 levels. Pemex produced 11,013 b/d of asphalt in December, up by roughly 5pc on the prior month but down by approximately 3pc compared with December 2018. Pemex has asphalt plants at its Salamanca, Salina Cruz, Cadereyta, Ciudad Madero and Tula refneries, but the Madero and Tula plants have not produced asphalt since August 2017 and March 2018, respectively.
