Canadian refnery throughputs up 2pc: NEB

Crude throughputs among Canadian refneries averaged 1.58mn b/d during the week ending 21 May, up by 37,000 b/d from the week prior. Refners in western Canada sported the largest gain among the three regions, processing 31,000 b/d more than the week before. The region consumed an average of 562,000 b/d during the week while utilization rates rose by nearly fve percentage points to 83pc.
