A raft of road construction projects in Algeria is pushing up the country's imports of bitumen from European suppliers to record levels. Algeria imported 169,000t of bitumen from European sup- pliers in the frst two months of this year, more than double the 82,700t it landed in January-February 2015, according to customs data. It is also the highest level for the period in ten years.
