A Colombian highway concession closed on its financing this week, the third road concession to reach that point this year, signaling a rebound in the country’s road-building campaign. The 137km Transversal del Sisga road is expected to use as much as 150,000 m3 of asphalt a top executive of the concession told Argus. The road will connect the center of the country with the eastern provinces of Casanare, helping to develop the Orinoquia region, which until now was under-developed because of poor road infrastructure.
