Notes on Trophic Egg Eating and Matriphagy in Amaurobius similis

I've observed matriphagy in Amaurobius spp. five times previously and one important aspect that occurs several days before the mother pays the ultimate sacrifice, but which has eluded me, is the moment the female produces trophic eggs for the young toconsume. I planned to break my duck and the first port of call was to collect a copulated female Amaurobius similis.
