The European airline Air France/KLM is replacing its aluminium baggage containers with ones featuring wall panels made from a lower weight, safer composite structure. Made by Telair International USA, the Ultralite container combines an aluminium profile and base with wall panels made of a plastic reinforced with aramid fibre (DuPont's Kevlar), which is highly resistant to punctures and abnormal use. If necessary, repairs to the composite can be made in-situ using Telair's so-called "Peal and Seal" repair kit.
