A field experiment was carried out to study the effect of phosphorus levels on chemical properties, growth, yield and quality of soybean under the on-going research programme of AICRP on STCR at JNKVV, Jabalpur (M.P.) during 2015-16. The treatments consisted of five levels of phosphorus (P0, P60, P66, P92 and P118 kg P_2O_5 ha~(-1)) that were evaluated in randomized block design replicated three times. The plant height, dry matter per plant was significantly treated with kg P_2O_5 ha~(-1) and minimumwas recorded in control. The seed yield and straw yield were significantly increased due to application of 118 kg P_2O_5 ha~(-1) over control and other treatments. The protein and oil content were comparatively higher at phosphorus level of 118 kg P_2O_5 ha-1 as compared to rest of the phosphorus levels i.e. 41.44 % and 19.83 %. It is concluded that the application of fertilizers as per developed fertilizer adjustment equation for fixed targeted yield of soybean, the applied phosphorus levels as per the equation has influenced the seed yield and quality of soybean significantly over control.
