A field experiment was conducted at Tarnak Farm of Afghanistan National Agricultural Sciences and Technology University (ANASTU), Kandahar, Afghanistan to assess the productivity, profitability, resource-use-efficiency besides assessing optimum potassium(K) dose for Kharif mungbean (Vigna radiata) using different potassium levels (0, 20, 40, 60, 80, 100 and 120 kg K_20 ha-1) in randomized block design replicated thrice in sandy-clay loam soil. The results revealed that growth parameters, growth indicesand grain yield (1.52 t ha~(-1)) were significantly higher using K_20 @ 80 kg ha~(-1) over other K-levels (0,20,40,60,100,120 kg K_20 ha~(-1)). It was concluded that application of K_20 @ 80 kg ha~(-1) could be used as blanked recommendation for obtaining better growth and development and higher productivity in Kharif mungbean in semi-arid region of Afghanistan.
