A thin coating of a graphene nanoribbon-infused epoxy has proven effective at melting ice on a helicopter blade. Developed at Rice University in Houston, Texas, USA, the coating could prove useful for de-icing aircraft, wind turbines, transmission lines and other surfaces exposed to cold climates in real time.
