Continental Structural Plastics (CSP) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Mitsubishi Rayon Co Ltd (MRC) to develop carbon fibre-reinforced plastic (CFRP) structural components for the automotive industry in North America. Under the MoU, CSP of Auburn Hills, Michigan, USA, and MRC of Tokyo, Japan, will carry out detailed studies through which the two companies intend to substantiate the establishment of an equity-based joint venture.
