Formax installs multiaxial machine for high-volume automotive applications

As part of a ?2.5-million investment programme, Formax of Narborough, UK, has installed a Malitronic multiaxial machine from Karl Mayer of Obertshausen, Germany. The cut-and-lay machine, which can produce fabrics with a width of 1270-1600 mm, is housed within the new 5000-m2 automotive facility'1' at Formax's UK headquarters and will be dedicated to the production of tailored non-crimp fabrics (NCFs) specifically optimized for high-volume automotive programmes.
