摘要

Field trial was conducted at the Main Agricultural Research Station, Dharwad during 2011-12. The experiment was laid out in Randomized Block Design with nine treatments replicated thrice. The chickpea variety Annigeri-1 was used for the trial. Two insecticidal applications were given one at 50 per cent flowering stage and another at 15 day later with the help of knapsack sprayer using spray volume of 500 litres per hectare. Two sprays of Methomyl 40 SP @ 750 g/ha, Methomyl 40 SP @ 500 g/ha, Indoxacarb 14.5 SC @ 150 ml/ha and Emamectin benzoate 5 SG @ 100 g/ha afforded highest protection against pod borer (83.10, 79.23, 83.53 and 80.60% respectively), recorded lowest pod borer damage (12.70, 13.50, 12.23 and 13.63% respectively) and produced higher seed yield (12.33, 12.10, 12.43 and 12.17 respectively) and were at par with each other. None of the insecticidal treatments showed any type of phytotoxic symptoms on chickpea plants at 1,3,7, and 10 days after spray at the dosages tried viz., Methomyl 40SP @ 300 g/ha, Methomyl 40 SP @ 500 g/ha, Methomyl 40 SP @ 1000 g/ha, Methomyl 40 SP @ 1500 g/ha, Methomyl 40 SP @ 2000 g/ha and Methomyl 40 SP @ 2500 g/ha.
