Leucas dhonimalayensis (Lamiaceae), a new species from Peninsular India

Leucas dhonimalayensis Sunojk. & K.Y. Vimal (Lamiaceae) is described and illustrated as a new species from the Dhoni Hills of the Western Ghats in Peninsular India. It is placed in sect. Astrodon. The morphological characters that distinguish it from the most similar species L. beddomei and L. hirta are given. Information on the distribution and habitat ecology of L. dhonimalayensis is also provided.
