Lead-zirconate-titanate oxide(PZT) ceramics are commonly used forpiezoelectric actuating or sensing elements. These are found in manywell-known and commercial devices including ultrasonic cleaners,alarms, timers, beepers, sonar systems, flow measurement devices,pressure gauges, and microphones. Such PZT piezoelectric ceramicactuators on the market require an operating voltage of 30 V or higher,which limits their being used in more applications.
