摘要

Since the last decade, inkjet printing has been gaining tremendous popularity in the textile industry, competing and even replacing the existing screen printing process for certain applications. One of the key attributes of the technique is its ability to enable cost-effective short-run for production and eliminate the set-up cost associated with the screen printing process. Several studies have proved the potential of the plasma surface modification techniques to effectively enhance fabric properties such as antistatic, antimicrobial, and insect repelling and so on. However, there are only a very few reports on surface modification using atmospheric air/argon (Ar) plasma to improve the inkjet printing effects of fabrics.
