摘要

Surface roughness of materials influences different features such as their adhesive performance and appearance. For two adjoining bodies the shape of their external layers decides the true area of contact. This value together with mechanical properties strongly influences the strength of adhesive interactions between them. Water condensation is also influenced by surface shape and could be controlled by modification of its smoothness.
