Basilar tip aneurysm in perimesencephalic like subarachnoid hemorrhage. Importance of exact diagnosis and the role of delayed repeated digital subtraction angiography

We would like to draw the attention of your readers to an interesting case concerning the necessity of exact differentiation between perimesencephalic SAH (PM-SAH) and non-perimesencephalic SAH (NON-PM-SAH) and its impact on performed diagnostic evaluations and therapy. In this case, it is a 46 year old male, who presented in our department with a sudden onset of head and neck pain. On admission he was alert without neurological impairments, except slight meningeal signs.
