SeaBird mulls expansion amidst seismic rush and new W Africa work

SeaBird Exploration has won new seismic work in West Africa and said it is now so busy it may buy extra vessels because it is having to turn down work. The company has just received a letter of award for a 3D survey in West Africa, with a value of approximately US $6.5m. The work will start this quarter with a total duration of about 80 days. SeaBird will time-charter the Nordic Explorer for this survey and then also bid the vessel for subsequent opportunities.
