Angola has given Total's chances of developing the deepwater Chissonga field a boost, although whether it will go ahead in these times is highly dubious. The company bought the field via the 2017 US $7.45 Bn purchase of Maersk Oil and reserves were seen as uncommercial as a stand-alone development.
