USTDA grants for Senegal gas pipeline

The U.S. Trade and Development Agency (USTDA) has put money towards a study to help finance Senegal's gas pipeline system. The US $1.3m grant will help developer FONSIS - Senegal's sovereign wealth fund - attract financing for the planned onshore gas pipeline. The pipeline has the potential to become the backbone of Senegal's domestic gas sector and help create the infrastructure to supply the country's power plants.
