Africa should give 3 month tax break for domestic firms

African governments should impose immediate moratoriums on tax for domestic contractors and operators to help them survive the current onslaught, according to a pressure group. The African Energy Chamber (AEC) said that governments should: "consider imposing immediate cancellations or postponements of tax payments for a period of up to three months for African owned service companies, indigenous exploration and production companies, and all international and local companies working on exploration programmes".
