Cameroon hires for Coco Marine development scenario

Cameroon's national oil company Societe Nationale des Hy-drocarbures (SNH) has chosen Panafrican Energy Services Group (PESG) to try and help encourage a new operator into the development of the shallow water Coco Marine discovery. ConocoPhillips made the oil discovery in 2002 in a new Tertiary geological play for the Douala Basin (see AOG 5 January 2002). The well was drilled in 75ft (23m) of water in exploration permit PH 77 to a total depth of 8,620ft (2,630m). Maximum flow rates of 3,000 b/d of 34° API gravity oil and 1.8 MMcf/d of gas were obtained during the test.
