Chevron evaluating Nigeria gas bids

Chevron is evaluating bids as it prepares to launch work that will commercialise its offshore gas and condensate reserves in Nigeria. As previously revealed by AOG the company tendered for FEED work for a generic notional shallow water project that it is calling "PSEUDO". Until now Shell has been the leading operator in terms of gas commercialisation off Nigeria, but Chevron has agreed with the government to start supplying its own reserves. Initially shallow water reserves will be provided for domestic gas utilisation. Linked condensate will be exported and excess gas will later be allowed to be exported, potentially including scenarios such as FLNG.
