Angola to join oil and extractives transparency group

Angola plans to join the Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (EITI). The country's oil industry was once one of the most opaque in Africa but the government said it now hopes to join the EITI, an international effort to fight corruption in revenues from oil, gas and mineral extraction.
