Shell is looking to sell another two blocks in Nigeria for up to US $1 Bn. The Anglo-Dutch oil major is said to be continuing its withdrawal from onshore Nigeria and is discussing selling its interests in OMLs 11 and 17 to Heirs Holdings. The company is run by Nigerian tycoon Tony Elumelu and also has Tenoil as one of its subsidiaries (see story pg 1). The sale would include a power plant that would be managed by Transnational Corp, another company run by Elumelu.
