Rig award for deep Gambia wildcat

FAR has awarded Stena the contract for the first well off Gambia in 40 years which will spud in the third quarter. The Stena Drillmax is currently warm stacked in Las Palmas but will drill the 850m bbl Samo prospect in Block A2. The Australian minnow was able to go ahead and award the rig contract after Malaysia's Petronas last month agreed to farm in for a 40% interest but pay an 80% share of costs.
