Angolan Zinia Phase 2 awards 'within weeks'

The awards for the Zinia Phase 2 project off Angola should finally be made "within weeks" according to operator Total which also said its pipeline project in Uganda is now progressing well. The 40,000 b/d Zinia project is a tie-back to the Pazflor FPSO with Technip-FMC and Subsea 7 both being very public about their hopes. Doris Engineering completed the front end engineering design for the project in 2014 and, before the project was shelved, Ponticelli had been lined up for the brownfield work on the topsides.
