US authorities arrested Senegal's former foreign minister and Hong Kong's former home affairs secretary for a multimillion dollar bribery scheme in Uganda and Chad on behalf of a Chinese operator. Former Senegalese diplomat Cheikh Gadio and Hong Kong's Patrick Chi Ping Ho are said to have sent bribes to high-level officials in Chad and Uganda to secure business advantage.
