ExxonMobil adds Mozambique deep frontier duo to Eni wildcat

ExxonMobil is preparing for two deepvvater wildcats starting early in the second quarter of next year in little explored basins off Mozambique. The US supermajor won the A5-B block in the Angoche Basin and Blocks Z5-C and Z5-D in the Zambezi Basin in the 2015 licensing round in a partnership with Rosneft. The pair have since been joined by Eni and Qatar Petroleum. There is a commitment to two wells in the Angoche Basin acreage and to a total of three wells in the Zambezi Basin.
