Total has applied for new exploration including up to 10 wells on acreage off South Africa neighbouring its deepwater Brul-padda giant. Drilling on Brulpadda in Block 11B/12B is due to start next quarter but Odfjell and Total have just agreed that semi sub Deepsea Stavan-ger will remain idle in Norway for an unspecified period prior to mobilisation. Odfjell will be compensated during this idle time.
