Aker submits phased Ghana plan but second FPSO uncertain

Aker has submitted a development plan to the Ghanaian authorities for its Pecan project while closing on the FPSO winner and deciding whether to use an option for a second vessel. Aker has finalised a phased development scenario for the multiple fields on the Deepwater Tano/ Cape Three Points block. This will start with the development of the current reserves at the Pecan field itself where appraisal drilling is still ongoing and for which commercial tenders for the leased FPSO from four contractors were opened in February.
