New Nigeria project with onshore boost and offshore export route

Schlumberger and an oil major, which is believed to be Shell, have signed up with Lekoil and other local field operators for an onshore project that also involves a new offshore export route for production. A memorandum of understanding has been signed covering infrastructure sharing and drilling around the Otakikpo field and a group of marginal field assets in OML 11. Lekoil's Otakikpo was hived off from OML 11 and the company has been trying to raise funds for the next phase of production.
