Seplat hoping for new shallow blocks with dozen wells planned

Seplat Petroleum is planning more than a dozen wells in Nigeria this year and hoping to acquire new shallow water acreage. The company operates OMLs 4, 38 and 41 in the western Niger Delta and plans to drill up to seven new oil production wells, one new gas well, one rig-based re-entry of an existing oil well and one appraisal well. It also intends to complete an upgraded gas processing facility at the Sapele field.
